Christmas

Here a few pics of Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. With two kids it was hard being the photographer too:) I will add more when I get the grandparent's photos. We had a great time and Santa was too good! Poor Caroline was sick on her 1st Christmas, but still had fun with her new toys. Chase had lots of fun and wants to know how many days until it is Christmas again! We are off tomorrow to go visit with family in Virginia...must finish packing!!

Swimming in December!

This picture was taken at Allen's company Christmas party...only in Florida could you swim at a Christmas party(it was heated...), it was 80 here today. We just might get to try out my mom and dad's new pool on Christmas:)

Caroline and Chase see Santa(again!)

Caroline and Chase had their 3rd rendevous with Santa lastnight. You can see in the pictures when Caroline saw Santa coming and when Chase saw Santa coming:) Yes, Chase was under the dinner table:) So we have a 3rd photo of Caroline and Santa and still no photo of Chase and Santa:)

Caroline

Caroline loves Santa, unlike her brother. She continues to be very easy going and happy. She is turning into quite the chatter box(I wonder who she could have gotten that from?) She is into everything...I wish that picking up behind her was considered an aerobic exercise I would never have to run again! Her first birthday is less than a month away:)

Chase

Chase had his Christmas program at school last Friday. The class were all dressed as members of a choir and they sang "Hark the Herald Angels Sing." He is now officially on Christmas break...a teachers dream and a parents nightmare:)ha-ha... He is very excited about Christmas although he wants absolutely nothing to do with seeing Santa. His list is growing every day so I sure hope Santa gets here soon!

Caroline's Christmas List

If you were wondering what to get Caroline for Christmas you can skip the toy aisle and just send her a box of tissues! She also enjoys toilet paper and Tupperware. The little Houdini can also slip her hand into the "child latched" cabinets and pull out small objects:) Chase also does not need toys as he enjoys drawing on any scrap of paper that is lying around. He is not picky it can be a plain piece of paper or a very important document...he seems to prefer things that are not labeled as"drawing paper." Also he prefers drawing with the "good pens."

Happy Thanksgiving

We went to Sandestin for Thanksgiving to visit with Allen's family. It was a mini reunion as we got to see his grandmother, aunt and uncle and cousins from Mississippi. We stayed at a place called Baytowne and it was a blast! Chase got to ice skate for the first time and he loved it. I was in heaven...the shops were just steps from our door!! A very short walk to Starbucks, a playground, and a Sports Bar...none of wanted to come back to reality! I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! We are so very Thankful for all of our family and friends!

Caroline is 10 Months!

Yes, Caroline is 10 months already! Before we know it we will be celebrating her 1st birthday. Caroline is developing quite a fun personality. It is crazy to look back at the photos and she how she has grown. Her current nickname is "tornado" because with her new found ability to "crawl"(we use this term loosely) she seems to destroy everything in her path! She has currently pulled most of the office supplies from the desk and is now working on the videos on the shelf! She enjoys playing with anything and everything that does not belong to her...especially if it happens to belong to her big brother!

Chase's current obsession has to do with constantly cutting,coloring(with the non-washable markers), and glueing. So it seems like all I do latley is clean up! Since his obsession deals with making books, spelling new words, and writing stories this school teacher will happily continue to clean his mess! Caroline can't get away with anything because Chase's second favorite thing to do is let me know what she is doing that she should not:)

Halloween

Allen was talked into being Darth Vader by his little Storm Trooper. Caroline's costume lasted about 30 minutes! Chase also proclaimed that Halloween was his "favorite holiday." We will see if he changes his tune in December! Yes, he did sneak in that one last piece right before bed and he did have some candy for breakfast this morning! Hey, if I could get away with it I would too! As Chase would say..."I have some good news and some bad news...the bad news is Halloween is over...the good news is that means Christmas will be here before you know it!" Allen and I are not anxious for Christmas to get here...for us it is sad that our "baby" will 1!!!

Chase had his Halloween parade at school today. He makes a really cute Storm Trooper! Caroline is going to be a pumpkin if we can get the costume on her again. I will update with more pictures later:)
